Robin Parks grew up on welfare in Southern California, where she spent her twenties being a waitress. Then -- after a fateful meeting with Dorothy Allison -- she decided to be a writer. She moved to the Pacific Northwest and landed on a tiny island off the coast of Bellingham, Washington. Some years later, she met her future husband, blind novelist
Sean F. Toner. They live happily and write strenuously in Bryn Mawr, Pennsylvania, which is pretty far from the Pacific Ocean. Hope you are enjoying Simon and Garfunkle. xo, Robin
